Frieza (フリーザ Furīza, lit. "Freeza") is a major villain from the Dragon Ball series.

Character Info

Inheriting his father's imperialist army and rising to power as the emperor of Universe 7 at a young age, Frieza quickly established himself as a ruthless tyrant, feared across the universe for his unparalleled cruelty and power. Ever since his invasion of Namek, Frieza has been the series' most recurring villain, clashing with his archnemesis Goku and his allies on several occasions, becoming even more powerful every time.

Frieza is a tyrannical and ruthless emperor who embodies cruelty, arrogance, and a lust for power[1]. His cold, calculating demeanor hides a sadistic enjoyment of causing fear and suffering. As the emperor of much of the universe, he is willing to destroy entire planets and species to maintain his reign. Despite his intense pride and belief in his superiority, Frieza is highly strategic and manipulative, making alliances only when it benefits his personal goals. His strength and ability to remain composed even in battle, combined with his extreme prejudice against weakness, makes him one of the most feared beings in the Dragon Ball universe.

Role in Story

Frieza is destroying New York with his group of Venoms at the start of the Story. Son Goku shows up to stop him. Frieza tells Goku that the world is all but done for. He then shoots a Death Beam at Goku, which he dodges. The beam strikes a random civilian who ends up being the Created Character. Frieza's battle with Goku rages on while the Created Character deals with his group of Venoms on the ground. Once they're defeated, Frieza expresses disappointment before exiting his battle, informing Goku they'll pick it up another time.

Frieza is a recurring villain in the game, the first thing he did, besides destroying NYC, was almost kill the Player.
